I love this photo because we had our moment on the stage, our book launch was so well attended we had to move from ‘the lounge’ to the main church, at the Dorford Centre. We had over 100 attendees and we even got the Susie Facebook admin team, and then our publisher up to speak.
I love this photo because my friend Preacher the Storyteller came over from Bournemouth as a huge encouragement and asked some really fabulous questions at the Launch event. I actually met him in London at Sweet Cherry showcase, and noticed he was very attached to Farmer Palmers Farm. But this is one of the coolest selfies I’ve ever seen.
I love this picture because the Town Crier loved our book so much he cried four times about it. My ears were wringing and my hopes were high for the book launch. The books were beginning to appear in shops.
I love this picture because we were invited to the BBC filming the announcement of the new Sylvia Townsend Warner statue, who will be seated on a bench along side a bronze version of Susie. Because Sylvia liked cats. Sadly we didn’t appear on the telly but we didn’t waste the photo opportunity or the chance for a nice coffee and chat afterwards.
I love this photo of our book, shelved just outside the head’s office at Southill Primary. I will be leading an assembly there soon, and I’ll be in Wey Valley Academy next Thursday! Today William, Kerry and I Joined Laura in speaking to Friday Friends and we signed a few books too. Connections were made and biscuits were nibbled. Plush Susie came to play, too.
I’ll be running a little competition soon so you might want to grab your copy or NOT LOST and join in.
